Countdown to 4th CIFTIS in Beijing

At the press conference yesterday, the organization committee of the 4th CIFTIS released the latest service products for sports, exhibitions, logistics and cultural trade. Yan Ligang, director of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, unveiled the official CIFTIS App.

Wednesday 18 February marks 100 days until the 4th China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), the first comprehensive platform for services trade in the world, which will take place on May 28, 2016. 

The 4th CIFTIS will be held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing from May 28 to June 1, 2016. Based on servicing global exhibitors, the new CIFTIS is going to further showing its unique charmfair will become an important platform for fulfilling national strategy, deepening international communication and cooperation, and promoting the global services trade.

According to an introduction by Zhao Zhongyi, director of the general office of the fair’s organization committee and vice-director of the China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges of China’s Ministry of Commerce, the fair will focus on the six service areas of science and technology, Internet and information, cultural education, finance, medical treatment and health, and business and tourism. By methods of Exhibition & Display, Forum & Conference, and Business Talk & Transaction, around 14 themes of six fields, the 4th CIFTIS will prepare a 50,000 square meters exhibition area for exhibitors, organize over 10 international forums and industry conferences, invite over 1,000 exhibitors and 25,000 representatives from service enterprises and professional organizations. Twenty-seven countries and regions have confirmed their attendance, as well as 31 Chinese provinces or cities

Though there are nearly three months to go, some service enterprises have already sent out partnership invitations. At the conference, Beijing Beiao Group signed a cooperative project, named 2017-2026 Bird's Nest Football Game, with China National Stadium. Xia Haifeng, general manager of Beijing Beiao Group, a subsidiary company of Beijing State-owned Assets Management Co.LTD., said, the group is betting on the strong market demand and huge potential of sports service, thus we are looking for the introduction and cooperation of international top sports events via the exclusive strategic cooperation with such national stadiums. Some organizations from cultural trade, exhibitions, and logistics industries also presented the highlight, key projects and cooperative expectations of the new fair.

"It's a big day for us, one hundred days to go," Yan said. As the host city of 4th CIFTIS, Beijing aims to build a effective platform for disseminating concepts, linking supply and demand, sharing business opportunities and promoting development, Yan added.

Representatives from embassies, international organizations, Business and media attended the press conference.
