Macao Sees Package Tourists Increase in July

Macao recorded 320,378 package tourist arrivals in July, seeing a notable year-on-year rise of 41.1 percent, according to official statistics issued here on Wednesday.

The figures from the government-run Statistics and Census Service (SCS) showed that over 70 percent of the package visitors came in the month from the Chinese mainland.

The SCS statistics also showed that the number of Macao's hotel rooms reached 12,859 at the end of July, up 9.0 percent over the same month of 2006.
