Adjust font size:

China Aviation Industry Corporation II (AVIC II) delivered 132 airplanes in 2007, setting a record over the past five years as the company made new progress in aviation products manufacturing.

The record surpassed the 2006 figure by about 30 planes.

A new contract with Hainan Airlines brought the company an order of 50 ERJ145 aircrafts, three of which are already delivered, the company told Xinhua at a work conference on Sunday.

The leading aviation maker earned higher sales revenue and profit last year, with the industrial revenue reaching 10.32 billion yuan, up 30.1 percent.

AVIC II boasts total assets of 31.5 billion yuan (about 4.4 U.S. billion dollars), with its aero-production covering a wide range of military and civilian vehicles. These include helicopters, trainers, general aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, engines and airborne equipment.

The company also signed an agreement with a Romanian partner last year, marking the beginning of exports of China-made combustion engines.
