Adjust font size:

China Huaneng Group, the nation's biggest electricity producer, has raised power generation by 12 percent in Sichuan Province since last week's earthquake as generators and transmissions lines are being fixed.

Huaneng Group's power plants in the province have generated 128 million kilowatt-hours of electricity since the May 12 earthquake.

China Huaneng has 12 hydropower stations with 37 generators operating in Sichuan, it said on May 18. One worker was killed and three are still missing at its Taipingyi plant near the quake's epicenter. The plant is China Huaneng's only hydropower station that remains offline, it said.
