Copper imports fall

Refined copper imports from China, the world's largest copper consumer, fell 26 percent in May from the previous month, customs office data showed.

China imported 94,196 metric tons of refined copper last month, the Beijing-based customs office said, citing revised final data. Exports were 18,034 tons last month, it said. Imports were 127,977 tons in April and exports were 18,797 tons, according to customs data.
