Stanton Technologies, a leading Malaysian provider of interactive TV solutions and contents, will transmit the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games to over 400 million China Mobile subscribers and worldwide Internet users, the company said in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

Under an agreement between Stanton and China Teleformation Culture Media Co Ltd (CNLive.com), the company will provide mobile TV services to the subscribers of the largest mobile phone operator in China, China Mobile, creating another information gateway for the single largest sporting event on earth.

The agreement will provide China Mobile's estimated 400 million subscribers with Video on Demand (VOD) services as well as enriched IPTV mobile content such as news, entertainment, film, music, sports, animation, comedy, games and education from the CNLive.com website.

Chairman of Stanton Technologies, Sheikh Sultan AL Qasimi said that the excitement of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and the convenient access via mobile technology is likely to see a surge in demand for VOD, while Stanton's strong synergy with its partners in China will create an exciting new experience for mobile phone users in China beyond the Olympics.
