In September, the long-lasting batter between Tencent QQ and Qihoo 360 esculated when the latter unveiled a privacy protection software targeting the former. The war was further heated with 360's release of "Koukou Bodyguard" and Tencent's announcement to shut down QQ on computers installed 360 anti-virus softwares. Later the Chinese government stepped in and required both parties to appologize to the public. Although both internet giants issued appologization letters, the war between these two seems to have not ended.
