Chinese stocks climb at midday

Chinese stocks edged up on Wednesday's morning trading, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.74 percent to end at 2,474.07.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.88 percent to end the morning session at 10,519.29.
