China stocks edge up at midday Friday

Chinese stocks edged up in the morning trading session Friday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.6 percent to 2,392.92 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 10,091.69 points, up 0.76 percent.
