Chery unveils 2008 plan

During a recent internal meeting, Chery, China's renowned automaker, announced that the company would like to sell 480 thousand cars in 2008 and would launch 3 brand new types of automobiles into the market.

In addition, the authorities have approved the company's plan of building a state-level engineering lab. This future establishment will be the only one of its kind in Chinese automobile industry. Some insiders said that the lab would greatly sharpen the company's competitive edge and is expected to have a huge influence on car development.
