2 dairy companies permitted to raise milk prices

Bright and Sanlu, two major Chinese domestic dairy food companies, have received permission from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to raise the prices of their products, sources from the Bright Dairy & Food Co., Ltd said Friday.

The decision might cause further price hikes in dairy market, according to marketing analysts.

It was the first time that NDRC granted permission for a price-hike since the institute imposed a price-intervention measure on a range of enterprises producing daily necessities in January.
