Traditional Business Networks to Link with E-commerce

On September 20, ecvv.com, one of the world's largest B2B (business to business) websites, will help the Shenzhen Council for Promotion of International Trade (SCPIT) to promote "Shenzhen International Buying Network" project to the world. This will be the first time that traditional business networks and e-commerce have merged.

According to the SCPIT, this large market network aims to adopt its business concepts toward the Internet with the help of the ecvv in order to build a large international procurement platform.

International procurement has now become a major channel for Chinese exports.  All the regions across the country are competing fiercely to build international procurement bases. Shenzhen, well-known for manufacturing, has numerous mature and professional markets and is a major export base for Chinese products

Both the SCPIT and the Shenzhen World Trade Center have large overseas trading resources. They also maintain good and close cooperative relationships with various trading organizations around the world. To sharpen their competitive edge, SCPIT began to build the "Network for International Procurement" in 2007 by optimizing Shenzhen's business resources to make a "one-stop" international procurement and trading platform. Then they joined hands with the ecvv to provide information about good product suppliers for professional buyers and also offer suppliers comprehensive marketing services.

As a major promoter of import and export business in the Greater China Region, the ecvv can provide all kinds of companies with services ranging from online marketing to corporate information portals. It will make the "Network for International Procurement" a global influence. By June 2007, buyers and sellers registered with the ecvv totaled over 1 million and the number of the product catalogues has already exceeded 2 million. The ecvv now has 50,000 pieces of trade information and 1 million views every day. Its members come from 220 countries and regions. The ecvv has 550,000 professional buyers who send more than 15,000 trade inquires every day.

The SCPIT believes that through cooperation with ecvv, it can make full use of current professional market resources, share resources efficiently, enhance its services and brand recognition, and gain a sharper competitive edge.
