President Hu to attend Boao Forum for Asia 2008

Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the opening ceremony of the annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) on April 12 and deliver a keynote speech, a senior Chinese Foreign Ministry official said Thursday at a press briefing.

The annual meeting, scheduled from April 11 to 13, will focus on environment-related talks to build a sustainable Asia.

The BFA was established in 2001 as a platform for high-level interaction between leaders from Asia and the world.
