China to restore complete power supply in Sichuan

According to a detailed plan formulated on Tuesday to restore power supply in quake-hit areas, the State Grid Corp. is responsible for the repairing and reconstruction of the Sichuan Province power network.

Complete power supply in areas hit by the May 12 earthquake should be restored by June 10, and the reconstruction of power equipment should be finished by Aug. 31, according to the plan.

By Tuesday, it had restored operation of 148 35-kilovolt transformer substations and 971 10 kv-power lines, the company said.

It had restored power supply for important users and for the basic living of residents in quake zone.
