Inflation to be between 6% and 7% this year

China's inflation this year may be between 6 percent and 7 percent, the Shanghai Securities News said, citing a researcher with the National Development and Reform Commission.

Consumer prices will rise about 6 percent in the second half, the newspaper said yesterday, citing Lin Zhaomu, deputy dean of the commission's macroeconomic research institute.
