Wen urges US to stabilize dollar
Adjust font size:

Premier Wen Jiabao yesterday urged the US to take steps to stabilize the dollar and prevent the global economy from slowing further.

During his talks with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Wen highlighted the unstable factors in the world economy, and said they were challenges both for the developed and the developing countries.

China was taking steps to safeguard its economic development and hoped the US would overcome its credit crisis soon, Wen said.

"We are willing to make joint efforts with the US to stick to the dialogue and consultation mechanism and take each other's concern into consideration," Wen said.
