EU allows Chinese firms to keep accounting standards

Chinese firms with a stock market listing in the European Union (EU) can continue filing accounts under home rules during a transition period from 2009 to 2011, said the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.

It was the first time that Chinese accounting rules were accepted by the international capital market after the EU's decision.
