China, US start 5th strategic economic dialogue

China and the United States started strategic economic dialogue in the Chinese capital on Thursday morning.

The talk came amid the deepening global financial crisis and the transition of the US government.

The two-day talks were co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan and US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, both as special representatives of presidents of the two countries.
