Chinese shares open lower tracking Wall Street plunge

Chinese shares opened more than 2 percent lower on Tuesday tracking Wall Street losses overnight.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 2.21 percent to 2047.21 points. The smaller Shenzhen index lost 2.50 percent to open at 7568.40 points.
