Chinese shares close up led by commodity producers

Chinese shares reversed the falling trend in the morning session and closed 0.28 percent higher Monday, led by soaring coal and non-ferrous shares.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.28 percent, or 7.52 points to close at 2,652.78. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.40 percent, or 40.82 points, to 10,314.04.
