The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) chairwoman Chen Zhili has urged women's federations of all levels in the country to provide better service and work for women's welfare.

"Women's federations should improve their competence in serving women and serving those at the grassroots level," Chen said during her inspection in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province on Friday.

Chen, also vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, urged that good service must be provided for women's employment and starting businesses to safeguard their rights and interests.

Vulnerable women groups should be given particular attention and practical assistance, Chen said.
