A 72-year-old woman threw snowballs at a burning taxi and successfully put out the fire in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, on Saturday.

The cab suddenly went up in flames as it drove through a downtown locality.

While several pedestrians rushed to help the driver, the old woman chose to pick up snow from the streets and hurl it at the vehicle.

She managed to put out the fire within minutes.
