A construction-site scaffold collapsed Tuesday in Fuquan city in southwestern China's Guizhou Province, killing eight workers and injuring two, a local government spokesman said.

A construction-site scaffold collapsed Tuesday in Fuquan city in southwestern China's Guizhou Province, killing eight workers and injuring two, a local government spokesman said.

 

The scaffold crumbled around 6 p.m. at a construction site in Lisen cement mill, the spokesman said. The two injured were rushed to hospital and were out of danger, he said.
