Parents whose baby had been stolen by a fake nurse have reconciled with the hospital where the kidnapping took place in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, local court said Thursday.

Yan Xiaohong, the baby's father, dropped the lawsuit against First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Xi'an Jiaotong University, after reaching a reconcilement agreement, according to a statement of Yanta District Court in provincial capital Xi'an.

The court declined to reveal the details of the agreement.

Yan, had tried to sue the hospital claiming 110,000 yuan (16,115 U.S. dollars) in compensation.

A woman, disguised as a nurse, took away Yan's 24-hour old daughter from the hospital on Nov. 21, 2009.

The baby was returned to her parents on Dec. 1, 2009 after police caught the kidnapper in southern Guangdong Province and conducted DNA tests to confirm the baby was theirs.
