China's top legislature has decided to put to vote a draft law on mobilization for national defense and a bilateral consular agreement with the Philippines on Friday.

The decision was made at a meeting of the chairman and vice chairpersons of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) on Thursday. The meeting was presided over by Chairman Wu Bangguo.

During the meeting, legislators heard reports on the credentials of certain NPC deputies, the appointment and removal of certain officials, and reports on the revision of the draft law on mobilization for national defense and the revision on the bilateral consular agreement with the Philippines.

The NPC Standing Committee's three-day bimonthly session is scheduled to end on Friday.
