Local CPPCC official commits suicide

A senior political advisor in south China's Guangdong Province was found dead from hanging himself in vicinity of his home Saturday, local authority said.
The deceased was identified as Zhen Lifu, 51, who served as vice chairman of Jiangmen Municipal Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Jiangmen municipal publicity office said in a statement that Zhen had long suffered from insomnia and depression.
No further details were available.
