Fourteen people were buried in a stone pit landslide in Emeishan City, in southwest China's Sichuan Province, at about 13:50 PM Wednesday, local authorities said.

The buried include nine drivers and five miners. The 250,000 cubic meter landslide also buried nine trucks loaded with ore and a excavator at the Shunjiang Quarry in Ledu Town, Emeishan, said Zhang Yili, vice mayor of Emeishan.

The buried had been located and the rescuers are working to save them, Zhang said.
