Two elderly men came to blows in the street in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, yesterday after rowing over President Obama's new nuclear arms strategy. Both were injured and one was hospitalized with eight stitches in his head, according to the Henan Business Daily.

According to 81-year-old Mr. Wang, he was reading a newspaper in the street when he came across a story about President Obama's promise not to use nuclear arms against non-nuclear states.

He was so happy about the news that he said out loud, "America has renounced the use of nuclear weapons." But when 82-year-old Mr. Li, who was sitting next to him, heard this, he told Mr. Wang he was "talking bullshit." Mr. Wang answered back and after a short argument the two came to blows. Finally Mr. Wang hit Mr. Li with a piece of wood, severely injuring his head.

After receiving treatment, Mr. Li said, "I didn't intend to be foul-mouthed. I admit I got into an argument with Mr. Wang about the news, but I never thought I'd end up in hospital. "

The local police took on the role of peacekeepers.
