HK police have arrested two men at the Hong Kong International Airport and seized suspected methamphetamine or "ice" worth about 5.5 million HK dollars, a police spokesperson said Friday.

Acting on information, officers of Narcotics Bureau and New Territories South Regional Crime Unit arrested the two men aged 20 and 27 at the restricted area of the Departure Hall as they were about to fly to Australia at about 8.30 pm Thursday.

The spokesperson said a total of 18 packs, weighing about seven kilograms, of suspected "ice" were found tied and concealed on the waist, back and legs of the two men.

The two men are detained for further inquiry and the Narcotics Bureau is still investigating the case.
