Police in southwest China's Sichuan province on Wednesday said they have arrested all five suspects involved in a deadly wage dispute which drew nearly one thousand people onto the streets early this week.

Early Tuesday, nearly 1,000 migrant workers and local residents rallied on a highway in Dujiangyan city, about one hour drive from the provincial capital Chengdu, protesting the deaths of two construction workers in the city.

Lei Yong -- an employee of Jiaxun Labor Service Company in Dujiangyan -- was beaten to death in a fight following a wage dispute with the company management on Monday.

Shortly after his death, hundreds of his co-workers blocked Erhuan Road in Dujiangyan City. The furious workers clashed with police and toppled a police vehicle. The protesters were dispersed Tuesday.

Police said Wednesday that the city has returned to normal and local authorities have settled all the unpaid wages.
