Fire control authorities of Taiwan's Ilan County announced Sunday that rescuers had found a body along the Suao-Hualien Highway.

A woman was found dead Sunday morning, increasing the number of deaths from the typhoon Megi to 13 on the island.

The Taiwan local authorities believe the dead woman was a local teacher.

Typhoon Megi has brought continuous and heavy rains to Taiwan over recent days, resulting in landslides along the Suao-Hualien Highway. Still 20 tourists from the Chinese mainland cannot be contacted, however other stranded Chinese mainland tourists have been rescued.
