A man surnamed Zhang in Benxi, Liaoning Province, was arrested and charged with extortion, Liaoshen Evening News reports.

Police say Zhang sent a letter to his neighbor Li, trying to have him wire money into Zhang's wife's bank account.

The letter was also "full of misspellings." Zhang said he regretted that he had too little education to pull off the scam.
