The "father of homeless children" died yesterday morning in Jinan, Shandong Business News reports.

Zheng Chengzhen has taken in more than 400 children around Jinan Railway Station since 1987, some of whom went on to technical secondary school, police academy or the army.

The 9 children who were living with him when he died are now at Jinan's rescue station.
