Four ancient porcelain kilns in Longquan City, east China's Zhejiang Province, were fired up again on Tuesday, after sitting idle for a decade.

Two of the few remaining senior Chinese ceramic craftsmen showed 40 Chinese and foreign ceramic masters how to use traditional techniques dating back more than 2,000 years to make celadon porcelain at the kilns.

Celadon is a type of pottery originally produced in the Longquan Kiln, which had its heyday during Song and Yuan dynasties about 1,000 years ago. It is characterized by its pale green glaze.
