Police in Guiping City, Guangxi, have broken a rural sex trade ring specially set up for to cater to the needs of older men, China.org.cn reports.

The organizer was a 75-year-old man and among the prostitutes was a 70-year-old woman who had been selling sex for 10 years.

Prices were very low – as little as 12 yuan a time – reflecting the poverty of the clients who, police say, were mainly elderly men living alone.

Lacking any companionship or recreation they could not resist the temptation of the prostitutes.
