Two officials in southeast China's Fujian province have been suspended from work following an employment scandal that implicates corruption, the China News Agency reported.

You Daijin and Zhang Gongcheng are in charge of the finance bureau and the personnel bureau respectively in Pingnan county of Fujian province.

Both of them are accused of being involved in a black-box operation of a recent government recruitment, in which the daughter of a former official in Pingnan, who had been promoted to the higher-level Ningde city government, was employed in a government position according to "specifically-tailored requirements".

Among several detailed requirements, one states that a bachelor's degree from an overseas university is necessary, which basically excludes all other job-seeking candidates except the daughter of the former government official.

She got the post even without taking a written test.

After the illegal recruitment was exposed on the Internet, the woman has been disqualified, according to the report.
