A Hong Kong hospital on Tuesday reported another death case of flu A/H1N1.
According to the hospital, the 62-year-old male patient died Monday due to continued deterioration of clinical condition.
In response to the recent influenza situation in Hong Kong, the Hospital Authority (HA), in close collaboration with the Center for Health Protection, has activated the enhanced monitoring system for severe influenza patients staying in the intensive care units of public hospitals.
The HA spokesman said as of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there had been no newly confirmed cases of flu A/H1N1.
Currently, there are a total of 29 influenza patients staying in the intensive care units of public hospitals in Hong Kong.
