Tibet' s Nyingchi embraces largest rainfall in 30 years

Tibet' s Nyingchi Prefecture greeted the largest rainfall in 30 years, which started on March 19, according to a report released Friday by the regional weather bureau.

The rain fell mainly to east Nyingchi' s Bomi and Zayu counties. From March 19 to 25, the total rainfall in Bomi county and Zayu county was 105.7 millimeters and 195.5 millimeters, respectively, according to the report.

More rainfall was forecast for the coming days in Bomi and Zayu, said officials. Meteorological experts have warned of possible natural disasters which could be triggered by the continuous rain.
