Shanghai is actively taking measures to respond to a truck drivers' strike recently due to high fuel prices, a spokesman with the municipal government said Friday.

New policies, including lowering fee standards and removing nonstandard fees, rolled out Friday, said the spokesman, adding all ports in Shanghai were operating normally.

On Wednesday, some truck drivers stopped work due to rising fuel costs and some other reasons such as high fees.
