The Blue Book of Social Mentality, an annual report on the social mentality of China (2011), released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Social Sciences Academic Press showed Wednesday that residents in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou are losing trust in the society.

According to the report, Shanghai tops the list of public trust, gaining 65.7 points in a survey while Beijing comes as last trustworthy city in China, with only 59.3 points.

Beijing also stays at the bottom in the survey in public trust for media and business industry. Beijing residents believe the fraud problem is very serious inside the property development sphere.

However, both Guangzhou and Beijing residents have faith in their local governments, whose grade in the survey reached 70.6 points.

Medical care is what residents are most dissatisfied with. According to the report, the medical care in the nation only obtained 58 points; and complaints varied from hard admittance, high expenses and, bad service.

In addition, real estate and advertisement industries are highly distrusted, with obvious guesses thrown at mountain top housing prices.

Food and medicine production business has also increasingly lost public trust among residents since food and medical safety problems have been common case in recent years.
