The death toll of bomb blasts in east China’s Jiangxi Province rose up to three, local authorities said early Friday.

Three people, including the suspect, have been confirmed dead after a number of homemade bombs exploded at three government buildings in Fuzhou, an east China city, within half an hour yesterday.

Two people died at the scene and one of the 10 injured died later in hospital.

The explosions occurred at three different locations in Fuzhou between 9:18 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. near the city's procuratorate office, the Linchuan district government office and the district's food and drug administration.

Police said the bombs were apparently placed by an unemployed 52-year-old Fuzhou resident, Qian Mingqi, who was killed in one of the explosions. Qian was said to have been involved in a dispute over the demolition of his home.
