Crowds, who had gathered in a county in southwest China's Guizhou Province following a conflict between a driver and city managment personnel, had dispersed, local authorities said Friday morning.

People began gathering in front of the government of Qianxi County at around 5 p.m. Thursday after the county's city management personnel had a conflict with a driver who allegedly illegally parked a vehicle, according to the command center of the provincial public security department.

Crowds turned over the vehicle of the city management staff and attacked police who came to quiet down the situation. A total of 10 vehicles were smashed in the incident and another five were set alight. More than 10 police officers and security staff were injured.

By 3:00 a.m., the crowds had scattered. Police took away more than 10 suspects who allegedly smashed and burned vehicles.
