The relationship between mother and daughter in law seems to be never easy, but not in a small village in East China's Anhui province.

In a shabby but clean house, an old woman sits in front of the door with sun on her happy face.

Surnamed Ge, the old woman was born in 1909 in a small village in Chaohu city, Anhui province. Over the years she has lost most of her family, including her loved mother, husband and sons. Fortunately, her daughter-in-law, Tao Shouying, has never left her and continues to take good care of her all the time.

Ten years ago it was decided that it was in the best interests of Ge that she move to live with Tao in her village. Although Tao is now 80 years old, in order to give her mother-in-law a better life she continues to work in the fields, and collects used goods to sell every day. The neighbors always comment that the two women look much like a real mother and daughter.
