Hundreds of people took part in an "Occupy Taipei" protest against capitalism and widening wealth gap at the Taipei 101 Financial Tower Saturday.

The crowd, including local protesters and foreign nationals, shouted "Down with capitalism", "We are Taiwan's 99 percent" and "We want economic equity."

Protesters called for attention to common people's interests and a change of the widening wealth gap.
