Police in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province responded to a 6:20 a.m. call from a seething father to help get his son out of bed.
"This is the first 110 call we got to drag someone out of bed," the responding officer said, not quite sure whether to be amused or offended. The 14-year-old son said it was too cold and early to get out from under his warm blankets, despite it being time for school. The father, tactlessly, proceeded to yank the blankets off, leading the pair into a shouting match that almost came to blows.
The father and son continued to shout at each other even as they were being brought to the local police station, where they later calmed down. After four hours, the mother managed to be excused from work to come and take them home. Police decided not to file any charges.
