Three people were killed and another ten injured in a four-car pileup Tuesday afternoon in southwest Chongqing municipality, local police said.

At about 3 p.m., four cars collided at the entrance of a bridge. One person was killed immediately and another two died while being attended to by paramedics, local police said.

The ten injured remained hospitalized with one in critical condition.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
