Infectious diseases killed 793 people on the Chinese mainland in January, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said Friday.
The ministry said viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, dysentery and gonorrhea were the five most frequently reported diseases last month, in which a total of 413,899 cases of infectious disease were reported.
