A South Korean man was killed Friday in a knife attack over a dispute at a clothing wholesale market in Shanghai, local police said.
The attack occurred at about 4 p.m. in the Qipulu clothing wholesale market in Zhabei district, the district public security bureau said in a statement.
After arriving at the scene, police immediately sent the injured man to a hospital for emergency treatment, which failed nevertheless.
The suspect was arrested at the scene.
An initial investigation showed that the killing arose from a dispute. A further investigation is under way.
