Six Chinese men were beaten in an unprovoked attack while awaiting repatriation at the Campsfield House immigration repatriation center in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, according to a report on the Ukchinese website. The men accused of carrying out the attack were also being held at the center awaiting repatriation.

The report came following a phone call to Ukchinese.com from Fujian-born Mr Chen in UK.

The six Chinese detainees were reportedly playing billiards at the center when they were deliberately provoked by a gang of black detainees. One of the Chinese men, Mr Yang from Liaoning Province, filed a report of the incident with the UK Border Agency following the incident in which he stated that the Chinese men were physically attacked after protesting against the initial provocation. A scuffle then broke out between the two groups.

Later that evening, according to reports, the six Chinese men were once more assaulted by groups of black assailants in a frenzied attack. All reportedly suffered varying degrees of injury. Two of the Chinese men were sentenced to confinement.

The men claim that they did not receive satisfactory medical care following the reported incident.

"The police arrived after the attackers had run away," said Zhang in his phone call to UkChinese.com. The most seriously injured, Zhang, was sent to hospital. The others received no medical treatment at all. To make things even worse, we were also sentenced to confinement, completely losing our freedom. Hours later we were sent to another repatriation center."

The Chinese detainees also allege that the perpetrators of the attack did not face sufficient punishment and they also allege unfair and inhumane treatment at the hands of the UK Border Agency.

Reporters from Ukchinese.com contacted the Campsfield House immigration repatriation center for a response to the allegations.

"We will not make any comment on the details," said a spokesman from the UK Border Agency. "The repatriation center in Campsfield House has always been run in a safe and sound manner."

The Chinese embassy in the UK has urged the Chinese detainees to seek legal advice from the repatriation center and expressed the hope that the case can be brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
