Jinling High School in downtown Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu, has provided 30 students with the Apple tablets, which will reduce the burden of school bags from at least 5 kilograms to less than 1 kilogram and save book expenses by thousands of yuan a year.

According to the paper, 21 public primary and middle schools in Nanjing are planning to promote the use of iPads or laptops. The cost of the equipment would not be borne by the students.
